A little bit of sunshine for a wet and windy day

It's pouring with rain and blowing a gale today, so here's a little bit of sunshine to cheer everybody up.

Sunflowers have to be one of my favourite garden flowers. They're so easy to grow and the kids love them, as do the bees!

You can see where each little seed will develop in the flower head. We'll save a few to plant next year and the rest will go to the birds, who love them.
