Drawing inspiration from the Chilterns

I'm very proud to have an article published in the latest edition of Chiltern, the quarterly magazine of the Chiltern Society.

The society is celebrating its golden anniversary this year and the article looks back at why it was formed, some of its main achievements and the challenges that lay ahead. You can read it here on page 12 of the online magazine.

Earlier in March, I entered a competition run by Visit Chilterns and Visit England as part of English Tourism Week, We had to say, through photography, poetry or prose, what we love about the Chilterns. I wrote a short story that seems to have gone down well and won a couple of prizes and was published on the Visit Chilterns website. You can read Red Chilterns here.

Last summer I entered a Chiltern themed art competition run by the Chiltern Open Air Museum and won with this collage of a red kite. It's quite possible that nobody else entered, which is why it won, but I'm still quite proud of it!

Just goes to show how great the Chilterns are and how much inspiration you can draw from the countryside and wildlife around you.
