Invasion of the small grey furry things

The family of rats have been back on the bird feeders. I've seen at least 2 babies, which are quite cute and very funny to watch, as they've decided the best way to get at the bird cake is to get inside the feeder!

Unfortunately, King Rat has also shown up and I'm afraid that's the final straw. He's massive - 4 or 5 times the size of the babies and is just too big and scary. They keep running around the tree with the feeders (which is on our patio) in broad daylight and take very little notice of me. I'm afraid they have to go!

If that's not enough, a squirrel has been back on the feeders as well. They haven't been around for a while, but this one has been here for the last couple of days.  Really there isn't much difference between a rat and a squirrel, except for the lovely bushy tail, but I don't mind the squirrels (except they're a bit of a pain because they eat so much!)

This one seems to be particularly handsome and likes to show off his beautiful tail.

You can see how he wraps his tail around the branch to keep balance
