Between you and me it was just a lucky shot! We caught it in the moth trap and it sat nicely on my finger while I took a photo with the other hand. Luckily it didn't seem to mind having a camera stuck in its face.

BBC Wildlife magazine online photo comp
I'm very proud to have one of my photos included in this months BBC Wildlife magazine. Each month they hold an online photo competition where you can enter your photos and their favourites are printed on the Your Photos page of the magazine. Last month the subject was butterflies and moths and my picture of an elephant hawk moth made it into the magazine.
