Harvestman

I've noticed a few Harvestmen around, on both the nettles and the fuchsia. I usually think of them as having long, gangly legs that are in a bit of a tangle. These are very neat and tidy though, with their long, stripy legs lying flat along the stem of the plant.

#100DaysOfNature #Day14

They look like spiders, with eight legs, but they're not. They don't spin webs, don't produce venom and their bodies are one single part, instead of two that you find in spiders. They have two eyes on the top of their body and they can lose a leg if they are attacked.

They're pretty strange looking creatures when you look at them up close!
