Barry the Buzzard

We were driving down the road, just around the corner from our house and this beautiful Buzzard was sat on a road sign. He looked like he was watching out for traffic breaking the 50 mile an hour limit down that little country road! We never used to see them around here, but now occasionally see them flying around. I think they've been reintroduced (maybe by the people who reintroduced the Red Kites), so are making a comeback.

#100DaysOfNature Day 29

The only other time we've seen a Buzzard sat on a post at the side of the road, was in the Isle of Wight this summer. We named that one Barry, so it looks like this one may also have to be Barry the Buzzard (as Bug Mad Girl would like to believe Barry followed us from the Isle of Wight and wants to live near us!)

How exciting if he sticks around and we can regularly drive past our own special traffic patrol!
