Whiteleaf Hill

We took our visitors to Whiteleaf Hill this afternoon. The sun was just starting to come out and we saw a lovely Roman snail heading off into the shade.

The bees were having a lovely time on Wild Marjoram, Wild Thyme and Rosebay Willowherb.

We saw (and heard) lots of grasshoppers and there were lots of hover flies around.

The Beech trees were full of beech nuts, we found a strange spiders web and a magical mossy stump.

Strange looking beech nuts

A mossy stump - good for jumping off, but nice to look at too

Who lives in there then?

Then back at the car park, two crows were having a "big squawk" about something and causing quite a stir!

  2. It was lovely to see you both. I think the Red Kites were just mocking you and your big camera. Maybe the veggie sausages put them off!
