The nettle patch

Allowing a nettle patch to grow in the garden has been such a great success. Every time we look, we seem to find something new and exciting on it. I spent just five minutes this morning and found a lot of ants and their aphids, a pretty spider with enormous long legs and a new bug I hadn't seen before (looks like a type of shield bug). I seem to read lots of things that say leaving the nettles will help wildlife, but it really is true. I would highly recommend finding a corner of your garden and letting the nettles take over. You never know what you might find.
