May wild flowers

May Day has long been associated with the start of the warm summer months, being celebrated with flowers, dancing and music. It would seem the hedgerows are in agreement as they seem to be putting on their own glorious performance. The Cow Parsley, with its frothy mass of white lace, seems to be dancing along the roadside wherever you look. Fields are yellow with glossy Buttercups and the Dandelion clocks, so beautiful and intricate in their design, are just waiting to drift away on the wind. What a beautiful time of year and what a show we are so lucky to witness.
